Explore Bali with UberTRIP

UberTRIP Bali Gathering

Uber is developing from a single trip service to a complete trip. The company launched this new service, called UberTRIP, on November 16th, 2016 in Bali.

As an Uber consumer, I was glad to receive their invitation to attend the Uber Gathering with others Bloggers and Instagrammers on November 17th, 2016 at Zia Hotel Petitenget. I and Matt have been using Uber service since last year and it has been a really helpful application. Most of the time, I use it for going to the airport or a meeting place when the weather is unfriendly. But it never crossed my mind to explore Bali with Uber. I really could not put a number on the price that this service would cost. But Uber answer this with UberTRIP.

What is UberTRIP?

UberTRIP is an expanding service from Uber. The purpose is to give you the opportunity to get a personal driver who would be able to accompany you for a long(er) trip, and not only bringing you from a point A to a point B. The trip is limited in time from 5 to 10 hours, but you can theoretically go as far as you want and make as many stops as you decide.

What is the difference between UberX and UberTRIP?

UberX only takes you to a single destination (from a point A to a point B) while UberTRIP can bring you to as many destinations as you like. The pricing system between the two services is also slightly different. Take a look at the two pictures below (available on Uber website), to understand the differences between the two fare calculation systems.

Finding Geger Beach

Geger Beach Nusa Dua

I heard about Geger Beach four years ago, when I arrived in April 2011 to explore the possibility to live in Bali. At that time I stayed at Nusa Dua Beach hotel where it is located on beach front of Nusa Dua, means every day I can just go to the private beach of the hotel. That’s exquisite beach, so I do not bother to explore other beaches.

Two days in Tana Toraja

Tana Toraja (Tator) is a unique travel destination, located in the South of Sulawesi, Indonesia. It is about 8 hours driving from Makassar airport. This mountainous region saw its touristic attendance increased in the early 2000s after the Bali bombing. Until today, Tator remains an alternative holiday destination, original, less crowded with magnificent landscapes. We had the chance to visit from July 19th to 21st, 2015.

breathtaking, isn’t it?
